The Salvation Army - Poole
Carford doesn't just install kitchens for professionals. Some are used in the voluntary sector - which means the units have to be easy to operate as well as being efficient and cost-effective.

At Poole Salvation Army, the new kitchen designed and installed by Carford, is used by volunteers who might only occasionally operate the catering equipment.

Not only that, but because the town centre building is used and hired out to various internal and external groups, it means that many more people use the kitchens than normal. So the appliances have to be simple and quick to use. |
| And the verdict? The corps' officer, Major Philip Mountain, said: "We have been surprised at how straightforward the equipment is. It is very user-friendly." Carford sourced and fitted an Angelo Po combi-oven; four-burner range; Carford air extraction and input; Carford tabling; Meiko passthrough dishwasher; Caravell refrigeration and freezer; Instanta water boiler and other units. The New Orchard centre hosts walk-in meals; special events, such as Christmas Day meals; 'food and fellowship' meetings and more catering for up to 120 people. |

The Major said Carford had been helpful throughout the project. "They have been very co-operative - both at design stage and by taking account of our various needs. This included the nature of the work and the nature of the people using the facilities. |
