Carford Installs New Restaurant at Nottingham Girls School

 16 Aug 2002

Commercial catering equipment supplier Carford has designed and installed a new restaurant and kitchen at Nottingham High School for Girls.

The new restaurant, which seats 250 pupils and staff in its own purpose-designed building, replaces a cramped 20 year-old temporary structure.

1,100 pupils from four years of age are fed in split sittings and pass through much faster without lengthy queues and with a vastly-improved choice of food.

School administrator Sarah Gamble said: "Carford was absolutely super Cathy Wilcox did an excellent job project-managing the entire process from start to finish."

Carford supplied and installed everything in front and back of house from cold rooms to utensils, including special tables and chairs that can be quickly removed. It is designed for multifunction use, including banquets.

Nottingham High School for Girls is a selective day school, founded in 1875, situated just north of the City of Nottingham. Originally housed in a group of Victorian mansions, the school has expanded considerably.
