Carford Group has installed a new kitchen at the 13th century Red Lion Hotel in Salisbury, reputed to be the oldest purpose-built hotel in Britain.

Ferndown-based Carford handled the complete project including stripping out the old kitchen and redundant services; then installing new safety floor, pvc wall cladding and grid ceiling, full services for new equipment, extraction/air supply systems and all kitchen equipment.
French head chef Noel Malon said: "I am delighted with the new kitchen. This has enabled me along with my team to improve the quality and service of our already award-winning food, with the introduction of an exciting new menu we are sure to increase the number of covers for evening dinning".
"Carford was excellent - ahead of time (the kitchen was up and running in just 22 days) and on budget, professionally done."
The Red Lion Hotel was built over seven hundred and fifty years ago, originally to house the draughtsmen working on the design of nearby Salisbury Cathedral. By the 1700s the hotel had become a flourishing coaching inn linking London and the West Country.
