Carford Installs New Kitchen At Bournemouth's Oceanarium

 21 Jan 2002

Carford wasn¹t left floundering when faced with a demanding deadline from Bournemouth's Oceanarium for a new commercial kitchen.

The installation of a complete new commercial kitchen needed to take place during a short two-week overhaul to some exhibits in the Christmas holiday.

Carford completed the job on time, even though initial talks only started in November!

Oceanarium operations manager Paul Duncan said: "Carford has a very good reputation and I had worked with them previously at another complex. Time was of an essence; we had a slim time span and Carford responded superbly."

The installation included all ovens, refrigeration, wall cladding, extraction and front-of-house servery.

During its £700,000 re-fit, the Oceanarium created a special artificial beach as part of a project to create a breeding environment for endangered green turtles. It has also added additional displays, a rain forest interactive displays and a research laboratory for visitors.
