Carford Fits Out Loafers Sandwich Production Unit

 7 Nov 2001

Commercial catering equipment manufacturers Carford has fitted out new premises for fast-growing Salisbury sandwich production firm Loafers.

When Downton-based Loafers needed to expand from its former three small units, it called on Carford to project-manage the fitting of a single 2,000 sq ft industrial unit with hygienic floors, walls, ceilings and stainless steel tabling.

The move had to take place over a weekend to ensure no interruption to service.

Partner Louise Samson said: "Carford¹s project-management was extremely useful and enabled us to get on with our core business without disruption."

"Everything took place on time, which was absolutely crucial to us. We were extremely impressed in the precision of the work and quality of equipment."

Loafers sells its sandwiches and rolls across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire through a variety of outlets from independent petrol forecourts and shops to high street chains and national buying groups.

Its 18 staff produce 29 different fillings six days a week.
