Carford Catering Equipment will supply commercial kitchens for the expanding Tootsies USA concept restaurant group around the south of England. Ferndown-based Carford has completed five new restaurants, installing complete kitchen equipment - including huge chargrill ranges - plus its own-build stainless steel back of bar areas and kitchen air extraction systems. Tootsies aims to open 40 restaurants by 2005. It started in 1973 when two London friends could not find a "decent burger restaurant" and decided to start their own in Notting Hill.
