Carford Catering Equipment has fitted a kitchen for a unique Bournemouth bistro and takeaway serving traditional Swiss food. The Rosti House, in Holdenhurst Road, is described by its owner Felix Kopfli as completely unrivalled and he hopes to shortly open another outlet in London. Carford designed and installed oven ranges, specialised equipment and furnishings. The Rosti House recreates classic Swiss regional meals, each supplied with the famous, low on fat Rosti potato dish, have been developed in a format for fast cooking. The meals are also available for home and office delivery. The bistro walls are bedecked with Felix's own "Mr Rosti" cartoon pictures (there are 300 planned), it has its own Mr Rosti wine label and it sells branded pictures, postcards, story books and its own puppet! He has written a play around the character which he hopes to show in his home town of Zug within a few years. Felix said: "It's not just about food, but creating some fun; there is a passion behind all this. But the food is special - it is low-cost, nutritious, full of vitamins, healthy and unique" Felix also owns the Helvetia Swiss restaurant in Bournemouth, which was fitted out by Carford 22 years ago.
