Restaurants Booming In Golf Clubs

 27 Aug 2003

Golf clubs are winning increasing levels of bar and restaurant business - and specialist kitchen refitters such as Carford Group are helping them maintain that upward trend.

Commercial catering equipment supplier Carford's latest order order - refurbishing the kitchen at Parkstone Golf Club in Dorset - will help ensure the dining experience matches members' expectations.

With 600 playing members, the private members club has opted to extend its clubhouse (which was originally built in 1910) and provide increased space for social events and dining.

Club general manager Christine Radford said: ³Our bar and restaurant business is on the increase - especially Sunday lunches - so we are nearly doubling the size of our dining room to seat 60.

Carford has provided equipment and full service support for golf clubs around the UK for over 25 years. Its recent installations include Harleyford, Bridport & West, Bournemouth and Meyrick, Dudsbury, Burley, Wareham, Christchurch and Stoke-by-Nayland.
