Carford Demonstrates Zanussi's All-New Pasta Station at Bournemouth Hotel & Catering Exhibition

 12 Mar 2003

Carford demonstrated Zanussi Professional's all-new Pasta Station at the Hotel & Catering Exhibition in Bournemouth March 11-12.

The new concept enables caterers to exploit pasta popularity in one easy-to-use unit that occupies just a couple of metres of floor space.

It allows caterers to easily expand their offering with a combination of equipment and accessories for cooking, chilling, preserving and regenerating pasta and sauces.

The station incorporates a pasta cooker, induction or infra red boiling top to heat sauces and a bains marie to keep up to three different sauces at a perfect serving temperature.

Pre-cooked pasta can be rapidly cooled in a blast chiller for safe hygienic storage in a fridge until required - then within a couple of minutes of a customer placing the order the pasta can be regenerated in the pasta cooker and the selected sauce added.

Carford's Ian Bryant said: "Pasta is the taste for today, original, healthy food, simple to prepare and cheap - and the new pasta station is the ideal solution for serving profitable food quickly and with low running costs".

"This classic dish guarantees optimal profit margins thanks to the speed of serving, the low costs of the raw materials and the preparation itself."
